Trek World Racing

Relive the World Cup race at Fort William through the eyes of the Trek World Racing team. From dry conditions to rain on Sunday Fort William is once again one of the most challenging courses on the circuit. Despite some traction issues in qualifying, this did not stop Aaron Gwin once again taking the win. Team Mechanic Monkey Vasquez talks about bike set up. Justin Leov was a little disappointed because of a small mistake during his race run. Watch the video to the end if you want to know more about why Aaron Gwin is the fastest rider on the planet.

Monster Energy/Specialized

Sam Hill continues working his way up the ranks, taking 4th place at round 3 of the UCI mountain bike World Cup at For William, Scottland. After a brutal crash in Leogang landed him in an Austrian hospital, Troy Brosnan is recovering, but out for most if not all of the season. And once again Sam Hill is auctioning off a Pink Demo 8 (the first carbon Demo 8 available to the public) and a Pink Troy Lee kit to support breast cancer research. Check http://www.iamspecialized.com for info on the auctions, which end June 17th, 2012.

Team CRC/Nukeproof

Another super edit as Team CRC/Nukeproof take on the brutal Fort William course at the third round of the Rocky Roads UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup. It was the Team’s most successful round of this year so far with Joe Smith and Matt Simmonds taking career best places in seventh and ninth, respectively. Interviews with the riders, riding footage and a post-ride recovery session at a local river all feature. Oh, and Al Bond’s new ‘hairstyle’.

Santa Cruz Syndicate

Santa Cruz Syndicate’s Josh Bryceland had confidence all week and carried it through to his final race run taking the fifth spot on the podium at the third round of the UCI World Cup Downhill Series. Greg Minnaar came 6th and Steve Peat was 77th as he attempted a race run after suffering a badly torn hamstring muscle the day before. Still buzzing from his podium finish Josh says, “Fort William weekend was a lot of fun. Over the last two races there has been a bit of bad luck for me and my team and friends, but it was nice to end it off with a podium result!

Team Lapierre International

The most Scottish of all the Fort William team videos, with bagpipes and everything! Sam Blenkinsop wanted rain for the finals and that’s exactly what he got. Come race day Blinky finished 12th, just behind team mate Cameron Cole in 10th. Patrick Thome bettered his qualifying time to cross the line in 22nd, while Loic Bruni claimed his third victory in the junior category!
