Monster Energy Specialized’s Sam Hill finished just off the podium this week in a dusty and loose Windham, New York while teammate Mitch Ropelato was 23rd after a good run. Hill had a run that was loose from start to finish, riding like the pre-injury Sam Hill. The Australian’s run included a very close encounter with at tree in a high speed wood section when a foot blew off but Hill managed to keep on the bike and get it pointed in the right direction.
Santa Cruz Syndicate
The charming town of Windham, New York once again hosted the UCI World Cup and the organizers did a great job delivering a quality event, marching band and all. The Santa Cruz Syndicate racers had a few struggles on track and cracking the top ten was Greg Minnaar who tied fellow South African Andrew Neethling for 9th place. Josh Bryceland placed 13th with a solid run for himself, but admittedly slower than he would have liked. Steve Peat had a disappointing finish in 78th place with a rear blow out in the rock garden. Greg remains second overall to race winner Aaron Gwin. Josh moves up a position into 8th overall and Steve drops to 39th.
Another high-octane edit as Team CRC/Nukeproof cross the Atlantic for the Mont Sainte Anne and Windham rounds of the Rocky Roads UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup 2012. Interviews with the riders, riding footage and drifting a Mustang all included… Enjoy!
Team Lapierre International
The Rookie Loic Bruni smashes the track in the USA and goes straight to his first podium.
Mt Sainte Anne WC 4 and Windham WC 5. Richie Rude lets it fly, placing him 20th in the overall standings. Filmed by John Reynolds.
