The 2012 Downhill MTB World Cup season wrapped up this weekend in Hafjell, Norway and Monster Energy Specialized’s Sam Hill raced to 7th place under blue skies, on a track that had him smiling all week.
The track was really varied which is great for all riders, with huge jumps out of the start gate to super technical steep rock gardens and high speed 70kmh sections out on the ski pistes!
Sam Blenkinsop throws a banana at the Sram pits, Cam Cole just misses out on another podium and Loic Bruni takes the junior title.
Hutchinson United Ride
Fabien and Tim return after injuries for the final race of the series. Mick finishes joust outside the top ten, and takes ninth overall for the season. Mick is now off to compete in the Red Bull Rampage, while Fabien is preparing for the Reunion Island Megavalanche enduro race.
