The World Cup madness may be over but there’s still time to catch up. Follow Specialized Racing in Val di Sole and discover the ups and downs the team went through in just one weekend. We hope Troy is healed for World Champs!

In this episode of Inside Specialized Racing, we head to Val di Sole for the last race of the UCI Downhill World Cup series. After three wins, Aaron Gwin was well secured in his position at the top of the World Cup overall. So barring a complete disaster, the series was his to lose. But when you get Aaron on his favorite track with wide, technical lines throughout, you can’t expect that he’ll ever just play it safe. The same goes for Troy Brosnan, and not surprisingly, the pair qualified one & two heading into the finals. Gwin laid into the track and put down another blowout run to secure both his fourth World Cup win of the season and the Overall title. And last on the course, Troy was easily laying the fastest time of the track before he washed out the front wheel about midway down. Impressively, despite breaking a couple fingers, he recovered to take third on the day and secured third in the overall. It’s been an amazing year for the pair, and the next time that we’ll be checking in, they’ll be prepping for Worlds in Andorra.
