The riders carousel moves on: Austria´s freerider, Angie Hohenwarter, is now out and about on Propain bikes. In addition to her position as a brand ambassador, she will also get a few exciting projects up and running in collaboration with Propain.

Angie Hohenwarter has been riding bikes since she was 9 years old and today ranks amongst the most well-known and undoubtedly charismatic female freeriders in Europe. It all started with cross country – she went from fourcross and downhill racing to freeriding. Despite marked successes such as Austrian national championship titles, good top 10 finishes at European championships and also at the World Cup, she bid farewell to racing and, as a freerider, prioritized sharing the fun of riding bikes and her passion for mountain biking with others.

Starting in 2017, bikes from Propain will accompany the ever-cheerful Carinthian on her tours around the globe. During her last trip, Angie was won over by the quality of the Tyee Carbon on the dusty trails of the Portuguese island of Madeira. Besides the enduro bike, Angie will also be out and about on the brand new downhill bike, Rage Carbon, and the freeride bike Spindrift.

Propain put a lot of thought into Angie Hohenwarter´s commitment. Therefore, she will not only be active as a brand manager, but will also support Propain in developing its very own girl´s line. This was a decisive point for Angie since she wanted a partnership with a long-term focus.

“Even during initial talks, I could feel the passion of the boys at Propain. They are all bikers themselves, having set up a lot in only a few years and are boiling over with ideas. I find their goal of making biking possible for a whole family really cool. Their range already includes very well thought-out bikes for men and children, but at the moment there is still a lack of bikes for the girls. This is where I come in and I will lend them a helping hand. I am looking forward to it!”

Angie Hohenwarter knows what women want. She has spent many years in the saddle herself and she gets a lot of feedback from those participating in her popular Ladies Session in Saalbach. So expectations are high about what will be the result of the collaboration.

“We have been planning the restructuring of our girl´s line “FLO” for some time now. When searching for a charismatic female rider who knows all about the needs of biking girls, we immediately opted for Angie. She is super friendly, highly-motivated and ranks among the best freeriders in Europe. We are proud to see her on our bikes and look forward to setting up a promising girl´s line with her that will meet the demands and wishes of female bikers.”
