Remi Thirion’s Horrific Crash – Leogang

We’ve postponed this week’s #WipeoutWednesdays in respect to Remi Thirion’s massive crash in qualifying for Leogang at the weekend. The Commencal Vallnord DH Racing Team rider hit the deck super hard as he approached the finish line on the last jump, ironically crossing the line in the process. However, it was no laughing matter as Remi left the track with 2 fractured vertebrae, a broken collarbone and 3 broken ribs.
Thankfully it sounds like Remi’s already on the mend and benefited hugely from the excellent and immediate care he received on the track. We’re sending all of our thoughts to him for a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the race circuit before the end of the season.
