Our team are heading back up to Scotland for Round 3 of the Saracen British Downhill Series this weekend. This time it’s to Innerleithan in the Scottish Boarders and one of the most popular tracks of the year with the racers on the BDS Circuit. With the opening round of the 2013 World Cup Downhill Series just a week away in Fort William the event has attracted an entry from across the globe as the World’s best downhiller’s hillers including Gee Atherton, Steve Smith and Sam Hill gear up for what looks set to be a season to remember.

For Josh and the team the Innerliethan track has been a happy hunting ground in the past as the fast tight course suits Josh’s riding style. After a flat tyre ended his run at Round 2 Josh goes into Round 3 looking to regain the Expert category series lead with two rounds remaining.

“I’ve been fitting my training in and around revision and exams for my A-levels for the past couple of weeks but I’m feeling good and can’t wait to get on track. This course is a blast from top to bottom and being able to race the top riders here as they prepare for the World Cup opener is a bonus, I’m really looking forward to seeing how my times compare at the end of the weekend” said Josh

The weekends race programme looks like this:

Saturday 1st June

09.00 Uplift opens for all riders
09:30 Open practice for all riders.
18:00 Course Closed.

Sunday 2nd June

08:30 Open Practice for all.
10:45 Course Closed.
11:00 Timed Seeding Run followed by one timed race run.

Here's hoping Josh gets back on the podium at Inners!
