Morzine, a very wet race!

What we would like to remember about the French Champs in Morzine is that the track was rad and our riders definitely had the right pace to get the titles in the Elite Men, Women and Juniors Categories! Unfortunately, a massive storm ruined our hopes and made the track almost impossible to ride. But that’s racing, right?

The seeding run went perfectly for the whole team as Myriam Nicole, Amaury Pierron, and Thibaut Daprela, all went fastest in their categories, and Rémi Thirion seeded in 5th place.

Unfortunately, on finals day a massive storm came just for the last 3 women and 16 men. It ruined all our chances to compete for the titles. What we can tell you about these champs is, with two crashes, Myriam Nicole still managed to finish 3rd and Rémi Thirion “won” the ranking in the wet!

We were obviously a bit disappointed about this ending, but we know it’s part of our sport, and we have to deal with the weather conditions.

We’re now super focused for our next event, see you in one week at Mont Saint Anne World Cup!
