Swede Fredriksson second in Katowice as Rogatkin lands Best Trick award.

Dawid Godziek won on home soil in Poland and older brother Szymon finished third as Red Bull Roof Ride delivered thrills as one of the 2021 FMB World Tour MTB Slopestyle stops.

Here is all you need to know:

– The Polish city of Katowice hosted a unique event, the very first one of that kind in the country as Red Bull Roof Ride saw the world’s top 28 mountain bike slopestyle riders fighting for the victory.

– The podium was dominated by Poles with Dawid Godziek winning – thanks to a 95 score – and his older brother Szymon third after a 89.83 score as Sweden’s Max Fredriksson ended runner-up after a 90 score.

– The Godziek brothers welcomed their colleagues with a specially designed track featuring seven obstacles, requiring them to start by jumping off the roof of the International Conference Centre.

– Dawid, 27, said: “It’s an incredible feeling to win in front of my home audience! I’d like to thank everyone for their support. I’m happy and satisfied with what I’ve managed to show during the event.”

– Szymon, 29, said: “It was my dream to join Dawid on the World Tour Slopestyle podium. I’m glad it was such a success and all riders could complete their runs. I hope that we managed to make fans fall in love with our sport. Every event of that kind motivates me to work even harder, so I hope that I will soon stand on the podium with my brother again!”

– The qualifiers featured 28 riders and 12 of them advanced to the finals with thousands of fans watching it at the square in front of the Spodek arena and via live broadcast on Red Bull TV.

– Each rider could complete three runs to show off their skills with judges evaluating the difficulty of performed tricks, their precision and execution as well as the general complexity of every run.

– Following the main event, the Best Trick competition was dominated by American Nicholi Rogatkin – whose spectacular Twister earned him a well-deserved victory in that discipline.
