Trans Madeira powered by Cannondale announced dates for 2023, with two fresh editions taking place in Summer (30th May – 3rd June) and Autumn (19th September – 23rd September) in Madeira island, Portugal. 5 days of racing in the World’s most diverse terrain, 220km distance and 30 special stages, 140 racers per edition… what’s not to love about it?

The adventure of riding four seasons in one day and five continents in one little island makes Trans Madeira a ride to remember, a way to experience the culture, landscapes and trails that make Madeira a bucket list destination all year round.

With six editions organised, it welcomed over 700 racers from 36 nations. For 2023, the race will keep exploring all four corners of the ‘Pearl of the Atlantic’, covering 220km and 30 special stages, limiting each edition to 140 lucky racers. The journey from East to West has it all: from tropical rain forests to open dry fields in the alpine, meaning that riders will have to adapt quickly to each new single day and stage. You like it steep? Fun? Flow? Tech? Fast and open? Dust? Mud? Luckily… Trans Madeira has it all!
