Industry 9, famous for their high-end mountain bike wheelsets with an incredible amount of pickup points (up to 690 on their latestHydra hubs!) have now come out with these – the Trail and Enduro 101 wheelsets aimed squarely at those who want to experience a pair of wheels with a high number of pickup points but without the normally associated pricetag that goes along with it… Full press release below from Industry Nine:

101 brings high engagement hubs to an innovative and affordable wheelset, taking a no-nonsense approach in delivering Industry Nine quality at an all new price point. Laced to a 101 hub, introduced earlier this year, the platform features a dual-phased drive mechanism accomplishing 90 POE and 4° of engagement by way of a six-pawl driver and 45 tooth drivering. “The 101 wheel lineup achieves an important milestone for Industry Nine – providing a quality, US made, high engagement wheelset at a competitive price.  The 101 Trail S and Enduro S wheelsets offer durable, exacting performance without emptying your wallet,” says Industry Nine VP, Jacob McGahey.

Offered in the same rim profiles as our most popular system wheelset options, 101 wheels are available in the category-defying Trail S or the up for anything Enduro S option. Both utilize conventional Sapim Race j-bend spokes laced 3-cross. Inspired by its predecessor, the Torch hub, 101 is designed with a dual-phased driver mechanism, engaging three pawls at a time. The 101 hubs are built with durability and ease of service in mind by way of long lasting captured leaf springs, oversized pawl pockets and larger bearings – keeping riders on the saddle and out of the service queue.

101 wheelsets hit the trails alongside the Hydra drive system, a hubset engineered with lightning quick 0.52° of engagement and 690 POE. Coupling 101 and Hydra wheelset options represent Industry Nine’s widest product offering to date, outfitting riders for every trail on a wide range of budget options.

101 is offered as Boost and Super Boost mountain wheelsets with a 28 hole count rim, 15x110mm front and 141 QR, 12×148, or 12×157 rear options, ISO 6 bolt or Center Lock (not available on Super Boost spacing) rotor mounts, HG, XD1 or Micro Spline freehub body options, J-bend spokes and Trail or Enduro rim options. 101 is available now starting at $750/wheelsets and $425/hubsets.
