POW Gloves have recently been taken on for distribution in the UK by Surf Sales so expect to see a little more of them on these shores over the next few months. Based out of Seattle in the USA they were born in the mountains and their extensive range for mountain biking echoes that.

The High 5 is a freeride glove built to withstand the rigours of that style of riding, the backhand is corded nylon whilst the palm features clarion leather and a unique sticky grip made for hanging on to handlebars and distributing ‘High 5’s” perfect for those end of trail moments with your mates.

They are very comfy, supple and offer plenty of ventilation for those hot summer days. We especially liked the individual styling and soft internals. They have a huge range with some entertaining designs, be sure to have a look at the “Shocker”!

Rou Chater is the Publishing Editor of IMB Magazine; he’s a jack-of-all-trades and master of none, but his passion for bikes knows no bounds. His first mountain bike was a Trek 820, which he bought in 1990. It didn’t take him long to earn himself a trip to the hospital on it, and he’s never looked back since. These days he’s keeping it rubber side down, riding locally and overseas as much as possible.
