ALL TRACKS ARE OPEN! Yeeeeeeeaaaassss!
Another monumental effort this week, thanks to our hard core volunteer crew. That's finally goodbye to the forestry thinners for this round - phew! Dragged on a bit!

Track pick for the weekend? MAGIC CARPET - groomed and flying!

One of our riders took the time to film a few of the runs he went down and has put them up on Trailforks. Well worth a watch if you are fizzing for a ride!!! Thanks David

Here is one of our favourite tracks: A fun, flowy Grade 3 called Kunekune

HELP! Our hard core crew are a bit behind the 8-ball with pre school-holiday maintenance having had all of their time taken up clearing tracks behind the forestry thinners over the last 4 weeks(!?!) We want to get some grooming done over in Zone 5 but we are going to need extra help to do it...

If you happen to have a day off on WEDNESDAY 17 APRIL and are keen to join the WMBP hardcore crew for a few hours, on the loppers or rake, please PM us with your mobile number or text 0210504350 and we will confirm all the details.

WEDNESDAY 17 APRIL - 9:30am start, for 3-4 hours. Not suitable for children.

We know that holding working bees during the week is not ideal and that many are keen to help on a weekend. In this case our crew leaders are unavailable for the next 3 weekends and we need to get into Zone 5 ASAP, before the needles get too wet, so it’s a case of ‘needs must’ on this occasion. We will have some weekend working bees over the winter though, so stay tuned.

TRACK CLOSURES this week...
As of tomorrow morning, some tracks on the EASTERN side of ZONE 3 are closed again, due to forestry thinning operations.

Access to Zone 3 via the Bledisloe Road crossing, at the start of TE ARA KAANIHI, is closed. THE POP UP is closed. So please note - Currently the only way to access the Zone 3 summit and Zone 5, is from the bottom of the Zone 3 valley - via HOLLAND DAYS, TARO LINK, TARO RD and up TE RANGI HONONGA.

All tracks in Zone 2 and Zone 5 are OPEN.

We plan to have everythig open for the coming weekend or perhaps even earlier, so keep an eye out here for updates.

More detail is provided in the images attached. Please respect all signage/closures and KEEP OUT.

WEET-BIX TRYATHLON is on this Sunday. So from early Sunday 7th April morning, the Waitangi Bridge is closed with heaps of keen children swimming, biking and running. We would suggest using the Haruru Falls Road entrance during this time as per the map below. Good luck to all of you riding.

Awesome to see the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park in the news. The Provincial Growth Fund has been essential in finishing off the Hub at the entrance to the tracks. With a Cafe, Site Office and Bike Hire, it certainly all looks the part of a World Class Mountain Bike Destination!! Come on down and check it all out.
