Steve Smith and Rachel Atherton have qualified first ahead of tomorrow’s final World Cup round in Hafjell. Series winner Aaron Gwin picked up an injury during a crash in practice yesterday and rolled out the start gate. We’ll find out tomorrow if he’s able to race.

Smith finished nearly five seconds faster than Swedish rider Robin Wallner, with his team mate George Brannigan sitting in third. Josh Bryceland is the fastest Santa Cruz Syndicate rider in fourth, just ahead of team mate Greg Minnaar, with yesterday’s fastest timed rider Steve Peat rounding up the top ten!

In the women’s race it’s a British one-two with Rachel Atherton and Manon Carpenter. Newly crowned World Champ Morgan qualified fourth.

Bring on tomorrow!
