The Rider
Marc Maurer, born in 1981 and grew up in the southern part of Germany. Marc is a former performance cyclist who turned into a fulltime two-wheel adventurer. When he moved to Cologne to start his studies in geography and Asian science, he eventually backpacked to the Indo-Chinese region on more than one occasion.
It was then that he decided to combine his two passions – travelling and cycling – and cycled from his hometown Cologne to Istanbul. Since then, he has brought his bike onto various bike packing adventures all around the world.
