The Summit Baggy Shorts from Altura are another example of some great lightweight yet durable shorts to be seen in this summer. Stretch panels across the gusset and rear of the shorts allow for plenty of movement and no restriction whatsoever. Two for pockets are great for when setting up your bike or if you stop off anywhere mid ride, but not being sealable means you’re better of leaving any valuables in a backpack. That said there is a zip-up pocket on the right leg, just big enough for a set of keys. While the shorts are nice and light there is also the option for more ventilation with two zips on the front of the legs. A double button fastener keeps them round your waist and you can adjust the fit with velcro straps. The provided liner is more than comfy enough, making these shorts even more of a bargain. Finally the length is nice and generous, falling just below the knee and keeping them covered when pedalling.

There are a lot of very good baggy shorts available these days, but we can’t think of many that are as well priced as these. And if blue isn’t your colour you’ll be pleased to know they’re also available in a natural brown or stealthy black colour way.

RRP: £59.99
