These well made Blackline shorts from Cube certainly look the part with the distinctive white piping detail, but they are also very functional too. They have quite a loose fit and hang just over the knee when standing. There are two zippered front pockets, which are perfect for a phone, or a car key, and there is a double popper fastening at the waist. The waist size can be adjusted using Velcro loops built into the shorts and they come with a liner, which is comfortable and serves its purpose. Perhaps our favourite feature is the stretch panel at the back of the shorts, this means you can pedal in them with ease and don’t feel the shorts pulling on your legs at all.

Good looks and super comfy to wear, at a very reasonable price.

Nigel Garrood was one of the instigators of the IMB project and has been with us since the very beginning. This loveable rogue has more stories than the Bible and is known to enjoy a beer or two. On the bike, he’s fast and loose and often puts younger riders to shame. Equally he’s been known to suffer from the odd crash and carries the scars to prove it. He was once referred to as being a robot sent from the future to save us all!
