Get a load of FUNN in your life! Funn components cover a range of mtb parts to finish your bike off, from stems to bars to wheels. The brand lives up to it’s name and fun is at the core of their ethos, aiming to help riders have a great time with great parts. Plenty to talk about here starting with some classic stems.

The Funnduro is a low stack height stem coming in both 31.8 and 35mm bar clamp, 35/45/60mm length and a range of gloss colours. As the name would suggest, probably aimed at the enduro market. The Strippa stem is a more stiff and chunky option with a slight weight penalty over the Funnduro, available in both clamp sizes and 35 and 45mm lengths.

The Black Ace carbon bar gets an increase length from previous version to 785mm with 15 and 30mm rise. The magic sweep numbers are 5.5 up and 8 back to give a great feeling set of bars with a clamp size diameter of 31.8. The UpDown post now sees a internal routed version, still actuated with the same left hand thumb shifter. It has a fully removable cartridge for servicing and the stanchion and seat clamp are forged as one piece for stiffness and zero creaking. The drop is standard 125mm but give them a year and I reckon there will be a 150mm for the tall folks. The other news comes in the form of a 27.2 post in 100mm drop for the XC or cyclocross who wants to get a bit more fun from their training grind.

The Zippa range of chain guides represent a modular and lightweight option for both chain retention and chainring protection. Two sizes of lower bash guard are available alongside a range of top guide mounting systems to allow full customisation for your chain keeping needs.

The pedal options from Funn include the Python, a wide strong and dangerously grippy flat pedal running on full cartridge bearings and weighing in at 375g a pair. For those who want clips we have the Mamba with a full metal cage outer and shimano compatible binding. Those who are still undecided can swing both ways with the single sided Mamba and get a flat pedal one side and clip on the other.

Finally we have the new travel stand from Granite. At first I wasn’t too convinced, but designed to be light and small enough to pack for a trip away, I think I’m sold. Shove it in your bike bag for a trip and have a way to build your bike easily on arrival, or throw it in the truck for washing the bike at the races.
