Just days away from the first World Cup of 2021, we step back in time to learn how Kate Courtney has been building her foundation ahead of the season with strength coaching.

Being at the top of World Cup racing goes beyond talent, it is a balance of consistent training, recovery, and evolution. Having a solid foundation is essential to Kate’s upcoming season. We join Kate at home in her gym, her outdoor recovery space and on trails to see how she is building her foundation ahead of the season.

For season two of Rising, we follow Kate as she navigates through the unknown, kicks off the World Cup season and looks ahead at the Olympic Games. Follow along as we go behind the race tape and see how Kate is building her blueprint and foundation ahead of this monumental season.

Home Gym

“Things have changed a lot throughout the pandemic not necessarily in the way that I prepare but, in the places I am preparing and the tools that I’m using.”

Kate Courtney
2019 UCI Elite XC World Cup Champion
