The Rally FR Knee and Shin Guards from Race Face certainly look the part. Don’t worry you can get a much more mellow colour-way should you desire, but lets face it, they’ll all be brown soon enough!

The pads are beautifully made with plenty of attention to detail, the padding behind the plastic armour is quite thick compared to some of the more “light” pads on the market. It is fully vented though with a very fine mesh backing to ensure good airflow.

On your leg they feel secure and the ample coverage inspires confidence, we loved the way the plastic knee cup has straps running through it to ensure it stays in place. When fitted correctly and done up tight these don’t move at all and you shouldn’t end up riding the trail worrying your pads have slipped.

The pricing isn’t bad either for the amount of workmanship you get, they aren’t the cheapest on the market but at £64.99 they aren’t the most expensive either and they’ve become a firm favourite in the office.

Comfy, well made and with an open back access they are easy to take on and off.
