The Aircon 6.0 is a high output pump from SKS with a great price tag. It features some cool styling and will certainly stand out from the crowd with its bright orange livery. The pump has a single head, with both Schrader and Presta valves inside. Depending on the type of valve you are pumping the one not in use shuts off when you activate the lever, it’s a simple way of ensuring you can handle both valves, without having to design an expensive and fancy dual head system.

Pumping with the SKS is very easy, the large volume barrel pumps out plenty of air with each stroke and we had no issues pumping up tubeless tyres with the Aircon 6.0 either. The maximum 87psi pressure will be an issue if you have a road bike in the shed, but for all MTB use that is more than enough; 30psi is about as much as you should ever need off road. With the higher volume MTB tyres you will also appreciate the high volume capacity of the pump and this would, in our eyes, negate the 87psi limit.

The gauge is huge on the Aircon, located on the base of the pump it is easy to see and we had no problems using it at all during the test. The wide footplate gives it good stability and the ergonomic grips were comfortable on the hands.
