Hutchinson United Ride Odyssey// South African World Cup Dream
It’s with pride that we present you the fantastic race that the Hutchinson United Ride team lived at the first 2012 world cup. The Hannah’s grand season opening ! Tracey made a phenomenal come back and earned one of her most beautiful victory. Mick thrilled us with his awesome ride not even 1 second off the victory. We are so proud of his run. Fabien 16th, Tim 48th and Guillaume 71st, gave the last points that the team needed to win the overall team ranking. A big thanks to the team members, friends and famillies for their support.
It’s not all about the racing – The CRC team give us an insight into some of the antics they get up to in between practice runs (don’t worry there is some flat out riding included as well). Filmed and Edited by MTBcut
Monster Energy / Specialized
Round 1 of the the 2012 DH World Cup is over and Troy Brosnan continues to prove he’s ready to run with the top men in the world in his first Elite Men World Cup event, placing 8th in the final with team mate Sam Hill close behind in 11th.
Team Lapierre International
Team Lapierre International had a bit of a shaky start to the season. Still not fully healed up from his crash at Champery, Cam Cole sat out his race, and Blinky had only just got back on a bike himself after breaking his ankle. But junior rider Loic Bruni had better luck, finishing as the fastest junior, with one of the best saves we’ve seen!
Trek World Racing
Watch how Trek World Racing got on in the first round of the World Cup. All three team maembers; Aaron Gwin, Justin Leov and Neko Mulally stood on the podium here the week previously, but would they be able to repeat their success?
Yeti Fox WC Team
The Yeti / Fox Racing Shox Factory Team embarks on another grueling season of racing in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa for round one of the World Cup. The race marks the return of Jared Graves to downhill racing, junior talent Richie Rude’s debut on the World Cup circuit, and a sneak peak at Yeti’s first carbon fiber DH bike. After a long off-season of training, goals have been set and expectations are high for the group – now it is finally time to race.
The gang is back! Specialized Racing is back from their respective off-season escapades (mostly training). Burry Stander took a solid 2nd place with returning champ Yaroslav Kulhavy rounding out the podium in 5th. There’s a new member on the team – Kohei Yamamoto – and long-time Specialized rider Lea Davison is making the move to the World Cup stage!
